Starting out in any new career is going to lead to some important questions. It’s just the nature of doing good business, and if there’s ever anything you’re unsure of or just need some extra clarification, we are here to offer round-the-clock support. For the most frequently asked questions that NovaPro receives about starting a travel nursing career and how to qualify for travel nurse jobs in the United States, we’ve prepared this helpful list below.

Remember, if you don’t see your specific question answered below, don’t hesitate to give us a call and we’ll be more than happy to find out what you need to know. After all, “our focus is you!”

How do I get started with NovaPro?
Here's how it works: you apply, either online by uploading your resume which goes directly to a recruiter, or over the phone; once accepted, we send you an offer letter and a package of information to get started.

Will I have to share an apartment?
Not unless you want to. At NovaPro, private housing is always available.

top

What are your salaries?
We offer some of the highest salaries in the industry. Your specific hourly rate depends on your specialty, experience, assignment location and what benefits you select in your customized package. You may choose from a full package, which includes private housing and free health insurance starting day one. We also offer several other benefits from which to choose including relocation allowances, completion bonuses, licensure reimbursement and much more. Whatever benefits you do not select will allow us to offer you a higher hourly rate.

What geographical locations are available?
We place our travelers at facilities in all 50 states, but the top four most requested areas are California, Florida, Ohio and Massachusetts. We also place travelers in the Virgin Islands and Hawaii-as you probably guessed, these locations attract more candidates for each job.

top

Where are your contracts?
Many healthcare professionals ask us about working in a particular facility, but jobs can change on a daily basis. More importantly, NovaPro has people who market for you. If the job you want exists, we'll find it for you.

top

In what types of facilities would I be working?
We have positions available in a variety of clinical settings throughout the U.S. For nursing we offer assignments that range from surgery centers to small community based hospitals to large teaching facilities. For allied health, we offer assignments in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, clinics, pharmacies and occasionally home health.

top

What are your assignment lengths?
Our typical travel assignment is 13 weeks. Some facilities even renew contracts, so your short-term traveling assignment may turn into something more long-term-if you're interested, of course. We also offer temporary opportunities for shorter lengths of time.

top

What benefits do you offer?
We custom design benefits packages that include health insurance from day one, private housing and bonuses. It's all about what you want - if you don't need certain benefits, you'll make a higher hourly rate.

top

Do you offer referral bonuses?
Absolutely!
